Factory Scheduled Maintenance

30,000 Mile Maintenance • 60,000 Mile Maintenance • 90,000 Mile Maintenance
Fluid Flushes • Timing Belts

The key to keeping vehicles running well tomorrow is routine maintenance today. A recent survey by the Car Care Council found that many car owners forget to perform necessary maintenance:

  • 38% of cars had low or dirty engine oil
  • 54% had low tire pressure
  • 28% had inadequate cooling protection
  • 19% needed new belts
  • 16% had dirty air filters
  • 10% had low or contaminated brake fluid

Wallace Autos is happy to send you timely service reminders when is time for your vehicle’s recommended maintenance.

While each make and model vehicle has specific factory scheduled maintenance checklists, below is a set of common guidelines which apply to most vehicles. At Wallace Autos, we will provide the specific maintenance schedule for your vehicle and discuss it with you prior to performing any scheduled maintenance services.

30,000-mile Maintenance:

  • Automatic Transmission Fluid- should be changed every two years, or 24,000 miles
  • Battery and Cables- check that the battery is securely mounted and that connections are clean, tight, and corrosion free. If the battery is three years old or more, it should be tested and replaced if necessary
  • Brakes- check the brake system, including linings, rotors, and drums
  • Cabin Air Filter- Replace annually, or more often in areas with heavy airborne contamination
  • Coolant- Flush your coolant reservoir and replace with a new mixture of 50/50 approved antifreeze and distilled water
  • Engine Air Filter- check and recommend replacement for any leaking, torn, water or oil soaked, dirty and worn filters
  • Fuel Filter- replace filters if restricted or water contaminated. Filters will be replaced at every 30, 000-mile checkup for all cars with fuel injection
  • Steering and Suspension- check your shock absorbers, struts, and chassis parts, such as ball joints, tie rod ends, and other related components
  • Check your tires’ individual rotation speeds when cornering
  • Spark Plugs- check the wear and condition of all spark plugs. Typically, spark plugs should be replaced every 30 and 90 thousand miles

60,000-mile Maintenance:

  • Belts- check all V-belts and serpentine belts for looseness and condition, and replace when cracked, frayed, glazed, or showing signs of excessive wear. Not replacing a belt as required could cause breakdown or serious engine damage
  • Battery and Cables- check that your battery is securely mounted and that connections are clean, tight, and corrosion free. If the battery is three years old or more, it should be tested and replaced if necessary
  • Brakes- check the brake system including linings, rotors, and drums
  • Cabin Air Filter- replace annually, or more often in areas with heavy airborne contamination
